■Demonstration Experiment for Improving Retention Rates
Background
The Nissan Motor Group embodies the shared value that “Health and safety is a core value and the highest priority.” As a member of this group, Nissan Motor Kyushu also upholds the corporate purpose of “Driving innovation to enrich people’s lives.” Since around 2013, even before “Health and Productivity Management” gained attention in Japan, the company has understood its significance and has been committed to improving the health and motivation of all employees.
As the largest domestic production base within the Nissan Motor Group, Nissan Motor Kyushu delivers attractive, high-quality, and safe vehicles worldwide. The company plays a vital role within the Nissan Motor Group and has now embarked on new initiatives to enhance the retention rates and support the success of temporary workers and new graduate employees at its factories, further strengthening its production system.
Details of the Demonstration Experiment
Using BrainLab’s LINE official account extension tool, “My Rec,” we aim to prevent turnover and improve retention rates. This demonstration experiment will establish an easy means of communication with factory workers and identify early signs of potential turnover through three types of surveys and investigations. Based on the information obtained, we will address employees’ concerns and challenges promptly and appropriately to improve retention rates.
The specific initiatives are as follows:
- We will regularly conduct pulse surveys and employee satisfaction surveys to understand employees’ motivators (such as a sense of achievement and growth) and hygiene factors (such as the work environment, working conditions, and interpersonal relationships). Utilizing this information, we aim to build a better workplace environment.
- We will introduce chatbot functionality to establish a system that can quickly respond to employees’ concerns and dissatisfactions.
- As part of the retention support agency service, industrial counselors will provide guidance and accept consultations regarding work and work styles.
Through these initiatives, we aim to promote the creation of a safer and more secure working environment for factory employees, thereby further advancing health and productivity management, and improving retention rates and employee satisfaction.
