“Travelist” started its services in 2009 as a website allowing users to compare and reserve budget airline tickets and LCCs in one place. Last year, they officially expanded their services to include domestic hotels and international airline tickets, allowing users to freely combine flights and accommodations to arrange their perfect trip online 24/7. In the future, they plan to expand their services to include leisure tours and more, while also implementing various technological features to enhance convenience.

We are pleased to announce that “Travelist” has launched a service for exchanging points to PayPay points, becoming the first airline reservation site to do so. Members of this service can now earn “Travelist points” when purchasing domestic airline tickets and exchange them for PayPay points. Previously, points were only usable when purchasing domestic airline tickets but now can be used for a wide range of online services across various genres at PayPay-affiliated stores nationwide. When tickets are purchased through the “Travelist” website, users receive 2.5% of the ticket price as Travelist points, while purchases made through the app grant 5% in Travelist points. This high redemption rate is a notable feature, especially beneficial for repeat users such as business travelers. Starting with this initiative, Travelist plans to expand the options for redeeming “Travelist points” and enhance functionality to enable their use for international airline tickets, hotels, and more.

The domestic point service market size has been expanding year by year, and it is expected to reach 2,632.8 billion yen in fiscal year 2023, an increase of 106.1% compared to the previous year[2]. In addition, the total number of overnight visitors in 2023 increased by 113.7% compared to the previous year, and 99.3%[3] compared to 2019, marking a return to pre-pandemic levels for the first time in three years. In the points service market, there is a high demand for points related to travel, which greatly boosts consumption related to travel such as accommodation, tourism, and dining, contributing to the revitalization of the domestic economy since the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering this background, “Travelist” has introduced a PayPay point exchange service, making it the first airline ticket reservation site to do so, to meet the needs of more customers.
